Welcome to Bull in the Basement. This site is to share my passion in the value of working with your hands which is something I learned from my father. Being raised without the proverbial silver spoon in our mouths, we looked to our hands to build our dreams. Ultimately, I would spend 17 years of my life building a Lamborghini Countach from scratch and in all places, my basement.

What has been a lifelong vision finally came to fruition in 2008 when we used a backhoe to dig a ramp next to my house, busted out a basement wall and breathed life into what I call my Bull in the Basement.  To say the least, this journey has been a wild and challenging ride that has had a profound impact on my family, friends and life as a whole.  It is an insane, yet an inspirational story that I wish to share with the world.

I have a wonderful wife named Eileen, who has supported an obsessive husband with a car in our basement for 17 years. She has put up with unimaginable extremes both financially as well as mentally and I want to thank her from the bottom of my heart for her tenacity to believe in me.

We sincerely thank you for your interest in our website and you can support us by spreading the word of this website and our products.

Thank you very much-Ken& Eileen Imhoff

Update 1/22/12

I have decided to publish my story
as many of you know with a conventional literary agent. Well  things change. All most three years
in the making and no publisher. I
have decided to publish it myself as
an e-book. If you think about it, how fitting really. I built the car of my dreams doing all of the work myself
and then have someone else write about it? I have 5 complete chapters written and 7 more to go. I will be making a big drive to sell it here and elsewhere (Amazon, B&N etc.) I will keep you posted on this home page as things progress. I promise it will be an interesting, funny story about family, marriage, kids and building a car in the basement.-Ken

    For those interested in

  hearing the whole story.
Check out my DVD. It is
  not
plans to build your
  own Lamborghini Countach
  but
the man behind the
  car and
the impact it had
  on his family.

The Bull Makes the Ripley's Believe it or Not for 2011!

Page 17:
"After spending 17 years building his own Lamborghini sports car in the cellar of his Wisconsin home, Ken Imhoff realized that he had no way of getting it out. He built a ramp, hired a mechanical digger and gouged out a section of the house's foundations to extract the car".
Now I could get upset with the "he had no way of getting it out" quote as you know it was a well executed plan from the beginning but hey it makes for a good story even if it is not true, hence believe it or not.....This shot I have to admit does look like the work of a mad man. Richard Dreyfuss comes to mind in Close Encounters..you know the scene where he is shoveling dirt into his living room obsessed in building the Devil's Tower. Hmmmm...
